Shavonne started her finance career as a bookkeeper, but over the years, excelled to roles such as Finance Director and Finance Manager. Her experience stretches across many industries including large online Corporations to start up businesses.
In her spare time, Shavonne also volunteers for local projects, such as reading with children in primary schools, being a School Governor and working on community garden projects.
“Coming from a minority background, I’ve experienced internal conflicts between cultural traditions, which can then lead to cultural identity clashes. I agree with the consensus that education and social integration is key, but quite often this is a complicated layer to infiltrate. MEWSo’s initiative and work ethic is a testament to what successful community support should encompass, a cause I take pride in being a part of.”
