What Is DASA?
The Domestic Abuse and Safe Accommodation project or DASA is a support service we offer as part of the SafeRoots DASA Partnership. Click to learn more about the SafeRoots Partnership.
What Do We Do?
We provide culturally sensitive support, from fully accredited counsellors, aimed directly at minority ethnic victims and survivors of domestic abuse. Our service is for those who currently live in, have lived in, or are in the process of moving out of safe accommodation, anywhere across London.
Our service includes:

One-to-one counselling

Welfare support

Housing support

Domestic Abuse advice and advocacy tailored to each individual.
What Is Safe Accommodation?
Safe accommodation is housing that helps women and their children stay safe from domestic abuse.
It includes:

Refuges - emergency and secret accommodation specifically for victims of domestic abuse.

Emergency Hotel Placements - temporary accommodation for an immediate crisis.

Step-Down Housing - short term housing for patients ready to be discharged but who cannot return to their home.

Sanctuary Schemes - safety measures that support women to stay safely in their own home.

Dispersed or Move-On Accommodation - self contained private flats or houses with outreach support for women as they rebuild their lives after refuge.
DASA Support is a project funded by the MOPAC-led*, DASA 'By and For' Grants Fund, and administered by the Greater London Authority.
The SafeRoots DASA Partnership includes MEWSo, Mindworks UK, Nafsiyat Intercultural Therapy Centre, Nour and Sister Circle.
